Content Operation Officer (Asset)
Job description
Asset acquisition
- Support Production and Development team in planning and execution of content asset acquisition ahead of or during mass production schedule
- Source for potential content partnerships with different publishers
- Track and improve reuse rates
- Track and find ways to optimize asset costs
- Coordinate with relevant teams to deal with situations where permission to use certain needed assets can’t be acquired or extended.
Asset management
- Manage software licenses, and equipment acquired
- Ensure Quipper content compliance to copyright and other IPs laws
- In charge of or support QAQC Team in archiving of produced contents (in addition to cloud storage)
- Create banks of reusable contents and necessary labeling/mapping
- Manage internal stats on produced contents
- Carry out training/sharing on copyrights and related topics
Manage Quipper’s right over our assets
- Manage incidents of infringement
- Identify, investigate, and file notice to the contents that do not comply with the copyright and other IP policies
- Take necessary actions to manage Quipper content asset
- Lead or support content leaders on prevention measures
- Work with the software product team to implement digital risk management measures and features.
- Work with Development team/Production team/QAQC team to implement changes in templates/processes to reduce risks of Quipper's IP being violated.
- Others:
- Serve as point of contact for people who may want to license Quipper content / use Quipper contents for derivative works (can be teachers or publishers)
Educational background
- Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Management/Administration, Library Information Science, Legal, or any related course
Qualifications
- Background work experience on copyright acquisitions in a publishing industry
- Relevant knowledge of copyright laws for both print and digital resources
- Project management experience and/or certificate
- Any education- or publishing-related work experience is a great advantage
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Communicate well (e.g. with authors, publishers); Negotiation skills
- Able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Proficient in Google Apps (Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Meet, etc.)
- Highly organized, fast learner; willing to self learn and self educate
- Self-starter; willing to take initiative and ownership of one's work; willing to establish and build efficient work processes.
- Versatile and resourceful problem solvers
- Take initiatives to build processes, assess processes, identify and execute improvement plans
- Ability to hire and manage a team of freelancers when needed
- Project management skills
- Basic to intermediate data analytics

Work arrangement
- Flexitime/Full-time
- Available for communications and should be responsive anytime during office hours, from Mondays to Fridays, especially when needed for urgent concerns
